These are built thick right around 6 mil and since I've had him I was unable to puncture the gloves. They are a solid $29.99 at the store like harbor freight and they can't touch these. I highly recommend purchasing these
Click to play video I used a lot of disposable gloves in my kitchen, from meal prep to washing greasy pots. They are standard gloves, and sometimes they break while using and/or when removed them from my hands. These 8 mil black nitrile gloves are different, they really are heavy duty. They are not easy to tear. The gloves structure is very thick with a diamond shape. The finger tips are also thick, but with some “precision touch” for handling small utensils, glass, and ceramic plates in the kitchen. In the large box came 100 gloves, of good quality, like “industrial”, and seem durable. When compared with similar ones, they are affordable. They have resistance to oil and other cleaning products. I can use them in wet and dry conditions, and I can use my phone while wearing the gloves. I tried them and they fit comfortable, and with a secure grip. I will used preferably for meal prep, specially when it involves the handling of meats. They are disposable, but maybe while cleaning I can use the same pair in different areas of my house because they are strong, but for cooking, I will use only one time, for hygiene reasons. I’m very satisfied with this gloves and I recommended them.
These are great. A true extra large in size. The texture is good for gripping and the parts that aren't texture provide a bit more stretch than the ones that are for a good fit on bigger hands. They will handle longer or thicker fingers just fine and fit comfortably and not binding on the wrists. The texturing does make it a bit harder to tease the first glove out, but once it's out, the gloves dispense easily from the box. These are great for working on plumbing, home projects, or doing mechanical work for my son. They work on my much smaller hands in a pinch, but with some loss of touch as expected.
I've been using a cheaper 5 Mil brand that's not textured. After using SuSWel HEAVY DUTY 8 Mil Black Nitrile Gloves Diamond Textured, I will not go back to the cheaper gloves. These gloves hold up well, and I'm getting multiple uses out of them. There is a hidden advantage to the Diamond Grip, and it's because of the texture. The texture prevents the glove from "sticking" to your hand, and your hands don't get as sweaty. This diamond texture is a huge benefit. I'm in a hot, humid climate, and when I put on regular gloves, my hands start to sweat and become soaked. It doesn't sound nice, and I end up changing gloves frequently and drying my hands in between. The 8 Mil thickness is significantly better than 5 Mil. The size is accurate and as described. I like the value for the money because I'm getting a better glove, multiple uses, more comfort, and more functionality. These may cost a bit more but are worth it.
What am I reviewing? I am reviewing Suswel’s Heavy Duty 8 Mil Black Nitrile Gloves, diamond‑textured, latex‑free, disposable gloves intended for industrial, mechanic, and general heavy‑duty use. Packaging claims — and contradictions The box states these gloves are “food safe” and “for food use only,” and cites FDA 21 CFR 177.2600, which covers rubber articles intended for repeated food contact. It also says the gloves are intended to prevent the transfer of hazardous matter between the user and the environment. Are these sterile? No. What about precautions? Under precautions, the box also states that the gloves should “not” be used in contact with oils, acids, sand, or chemicals. This is a major contradiction, because the product listing markets these as industrial, mechanic, and heavy‑duty gloves — all of which inherently involve oils, greases, solvents, and chemical exposure. So, if I were doing the work of a mechanic and I were to use these gloves exactly as the listing suggests, I would be using them in direct violation of the warnings printed on the box. That inconsistency is worth calling out and is a fairly significant negative. Manufacture and use‑by dates Manufactured 01‑25‑2026, with a use‑by date of 01‑24‑2031. A five‑year lifespan is standard for nitrile gloves when stored properly (cool, dry, and away from light — including fluorescent light, as the box warns). I appreciate having clear dating information. Weight Analysis — Box and Individual Gloves Box weight: I weighed the full box, and it came in at 1088 grams. This is significantly heavier than typical 5‑mil nitrile glove boxes, which often weigh 550–700 grams for 100 gloves. The heavier weight strongly suggests a thicker glove. Individual glove weight: I weighed a single glove at 10.28 grams. For context: - A typical 5‑mil nitrile glove weighs 6–7 grams - A typical 6‑mil glove weighs 7–8 grams - A true 8‑mil glove usually weighs 9–11 grams At 10.28 grams, these gloves fall squarely within the expected range for authentic 8‑mil gloves, and the weight corroborates the thickness claim. Do I believe these are truly 8‑mil? Based on feel alone — yes. The gloves are noticeably thicker, more resistant to stretching pressure, and have a reinforced feel when pulling them on. The diamond texture also adds to the perception of thickness and grip. While I didn’t measure them with calipers, the tactile evidence also the 8‑mil claim. Performance Observations: Aroma No noticeable odor. Nothing chemical, rubbery, or off‑putting – these are clean and neutral. Texture The diamond texture is real and visible. More importantly, it works. I didn’t have issues with tools, bottles, or slick items slipping out of my hands. Grip is one of the strongest features of these gloves. Durability These impressed me. They held up during cleaning tasks, handling tools, and general household and yardwork. No tearing when pulling them on, even after perspiration built up inside. Compared to thinner gloves, these feel significantly more reliable. Stretch They stretched without tearing, though with more resistance than lighter gloves — expected for 8‑mil thickness. They feel sturdy, not flimsy. Size? These are SMALL 4 Extra-Large. Comfort Comfort is good for a glove this thick. They are not as dexterous as 4–5 mil gloves, but that’s the trade‑off for durability. For heavy‑duty tasks, I prefer the extra protection. Food Safety Claims The box clearly states these are food safe, “intended” for food handling, preparation, and service, and cites FDA 21 CFR 177.2600. Contradictory wording. However, the contradictory warnings (no oils, acids, sand, or chemicals) make the “food use only” claim feel oddly restrictive, such includes for mechanic work. Most food prep involves oils, so the warning is confusing. Combined with the listing’s claims of mechanic and industrial suitability, the messaging is inconsistent. Are these perfect? No, for the reasons already mentioned. Country of origin Made in China. My last set of gloves from another brand came from Thailand and included a certificate of quality; so far, my search suggests these did not. I was surprised no certificate was included — that’s a minor negative. Value When factoring in thickness, durability, and intended use, I consider these fair value, not a bargain, and that is what I want, exceptional value for my money. They perform well, but the price is higher than what I think they should be. A coupon or discount would make these a much stronger value proposition, especially in light of the contradictory messages being noted in the listing and what was noted on the retail packaging. Additional thoughts These gloves look clean, feel substantial, and perform well for heavy‑duty tasks. They’re ideal for cleaning, potting plants, handling tools, and minimizing contact with unfamiliar surfaces when out and about. They are not perfect, but they are capable and reliable. Rating Three (3) stars — not even close to five (5) stars. The durability and grip are excellent, but the premium price, inconsistent suggestions for use, and lack of clearer regulatory documentation keep them significantly away from being perfect. I thought these were for industrial/mechanic use, however the box clearly reads differently, i.e., food use only. That’s a significant negative. Lastly, these are small for extra-large, they fit more like large. I hope my thoughts added a bit of information.
