Product FAQ

Common questions about disposable nitrile gloves

What does the listed mil thickness mean?

A mil is one-thousandth of an inch. The listed mil value helps compare glove thickness, but it does not by itself establish chemical, cut or heat protection.

Are nitrile gloves latex-free?

Nitrile is a synthetic rubber and does not contain natural rubber latex. Review product-specific ingredients and workplace allergy requirements where relevant.

Can these gloves be used with chemicals?

Do not rely on the material name or thickness alone. Suitability depends on the exact chemical, concentration, contact time and glove formulation. Check the chemical label, safety data sheet and product compatibility information before use.

When should a disposable glove be changed?

Change it when torn, contaminated or heavily soiled, between incompatible tasks, and whenever your workplace procedure requires it. Disposable gloves should not be washed and reused.

Does UYKKE offer wholesale or private-label support?

Yes. Email sales@uykke-gloves.com with the product, sizes, estimated volume and application. UYKKE can discuss U.S. inventory, wholesale supply, sample availability and private-label options.

Good, basic gloves

Great, basic gloves that do the work they're meant to do. Nice to have a bit box of these. Super easy to get on. Good fit, Seem durable. Overall, pleased with these.

Good Gloves for Everyday Messy Jobs

I bought these gloves to keep around the house for cleaning, yard work, car maintenance, and other messy jobs. They feel thicker than regular disposable gloves, so I don’t worry as much about them tearing right away. The fit is comfortable, and they still let me move my fingers well enough to pick up small things or use tools. I’ve used them for taking out trash, handling cleaning products, and working in the garage, and they have held up well so far. They are disposable, but they feel strong enough that one pair can usually last through a full task without ripping. Overall, they are practical gloves to keep in the house if you need something stronger than basic thin gloves.

Durable Nitrile Gloves for Messy Jobs

These black nitrile gloves are a solid choice for garage work, cleaning, cooking, resin projects, painting, yard work, and other messy tasks. The 6 mil thickness gives them a stronger, more durable feel than thinner disposable gloves, but they still have enough flexibility to handle tools, small parts, and detailed work without feeling too bulky. I like that they are powder-free, latex-free, and comfortable to wear for longer tasks. The textured fingertips help with grip, and the black color looks professional while hiding stains better than lighter gloves. The cuffs could be a little longer or tighter for jobs involving running liquids, but overall these are strong, comfortable, and versatile gloves that are worth keeping stocked in the garage, kitchen, or workshop.

Heavier Duty

I actually like these, I wouldn't say they're HEAVY duty, but they're heavier duty than the usual paper thin ones. They're moderately thick but still well articulated. Our household has men and women in it and the XL managed to fit all of us just fine, obviously floppy on my women's S/M hand (see pics) but you don't always want the glove to be extremely tight! We use these all over the house, they're very versatile. I cook with them, handle paints, gross messes, it's nice. The material is nitrile, but is thicker and feels more premium than the standard thickness.

Strong, comfortable nitrile gloves for demanding jobs

These 6 mil nitrile gloves strike an excellent balance between durability, comfort, and dexterity. They're thick enough for tougher jobs while still allowing good finger movement, making them useful for everything from automotive work to household cleaning and food preparation. What I liked: ✔️ Heavy-duty 6 mil thickness provides excellent durability ✔️ Comfortable fit that doesn't restrict movement ✔️ Textured fingertips offer a secure grip in wet or dry conditions ✔️ Powder-free and latex-free for comfortable wear ✔️ Touchscreen compatible, so there's no need to remove the gloves to use a phone Performance: The gloves hold up well during demanding tasks involving grease, oil, cleaning chemicals, and general repair work. They're noticeably more durable than thinner disposable gloves and resist tearing during normal use while still allowing enough flexibility for detailed work. Great for: Automotive repairs Plumbing work Household cleaning Painting projects Food preparation Gardening DIY projects General shop use Quality: The gloves fit well and are easy to put on and remove thanks to the beaded cuffs. They feel sturdy without being overly stiff, and the textured fingertips provide confidence when handling slippery tools or parts. Things to note: At 6 mil, these are thicker than standard disposable gloves, so they sacrifice a small amount of fingertip sensitivity in exchange for much better durability. Be sure to select the correct size for the best combination of comfort and dexterity. Overall: These are excellent heavy-duty disposable nitrile gloves that provide reliable protection without sacrificing comfort. The combination of durability, good grip, touchscreen compatibility, and an affordable price makes them an outstanding value for both professionals and DIY users.

Heavy Duty Black Nitrile Gloves

These black nitrile gloves fit comfortably even on larger hands, with just enough slack to move freely without feeling tight. The material feels strong and durable — they don’t tear easily and maintain consistent quality across multiple pairs. The sleek black color gives them a professional look, far nicer than the white or clear types that tend to evoke medical or food service settings. They’re versatile for household tasks like cleaning, cooking, or any job where you want to keep your hands clean. I especially appreciate them when making meatloaf — they let me mix ingredients by hand without worrying about food getting under my nails or transferring anything into the meat. The box offers a generous count, making it a solid value for everyday use.
